Born in Japan 

 

 

 

< Profile > 

1990 Graduated University in Japan.

1988 First travel China.

1993-1997 Stayed in Beijing, China.

1995 Traveled Lhasa, Tibet (Tibet Autonomous Region, China)1996 Inspired by Chinese auspicious painting, and then, started to paint.

1997 Her father and mother were run over by a car and mother died. Then, she started to paint for escape the saddness.

2004 Started to create silkscreen art. (Under a Japanese woman artist-Yuriko Terao at Kanazawa-city.) 

 

2006 First visiting Bhutan as a tourist. She was fascinated with Bhutanese auspicious painting. 

2009 Second visiting Bhutan to apply for the admission into National Institute for Zorig Chusum. 

2011 Entered National Institute for Zorig Chusum, Thimphu, and started to learn Bhutanese traditional painting. (Till 2015) 

2016 Started to work at Pelkhil School as Arts & Crafts teacher in Thimphu, Bhutan (Till 2017). At the same time, she’s continuing own creation as an artist. 

2016 June Married with a Bhutanese traditional painter. 

2016 December Visited Magog, Quebec, Canada for a group exhibition ”Imaginaive” which she participated.

2018 Moved to Japan with husband for care my father. Her artist name changed YOKO J.("J" meanes "Jamyang"),

2006 Received the Fine Work Prize in the engraving New Year Card Contest of Fukumitsu Musium.

         Selected by “SM-size Contest of Fukui Culture Center” (Japan).

        Received the Small Size Work Prize in Shika City Contest(Japan). 

2007 Received the Excellent Work Prize(the 2nd. prize) in the engraving New Year Card Contest of Fukumitsu Musium(Japan).

         Selected by the engraving Contest for Munakata of Toyama Fukumitsu musium(Japan). 

2008 Received the Encouragement Art Prize(the 3nd. prize) by the engraving New Year Card Contest of Fukumitsu Musium(Japan). 

2009 Received the Encouragement Art Prize(rhe 3nd. prize) by the engraving New Year Card Contest of Fukumitsu Musium(Japan).

         Selected by SM-size contest of Fukui Culture Center(Japan).

         Recieved the Special Selection Prize in Shika City Contest(Japan). 

2014 2nd Prize of the individual category at the lnstitute Festival of Zorig Chusum, Thimphu. 

2015 2nd Prize of the individual category at the Institute Festival of Zorig Chusum, Thimphu.
